Students Need To Fundraise

Students need to Fundraise Now
By: Marvin Luna
Should Students be allowed to sell food at school?
Students should be allowed to sell food during lunch and before and after school but not during school time except for lunch argue many students at South East High School.
Students have many opinions on fundraising. Some say that fundraising should happen at school yet others say it should not be allowed at school. I interviewed student Jennifer and she said “I think students should be allowed to sell there food or what ever they are selling during lunch also but I don’t think that they should be allowed to sell it during class because it my disrupt the class room from doing there work while they are trying to buy food but I do think they should be allowed to sell it at lunch and I think that the principle wants the money to go to the school that’s why they don’t let you sell during lunch”.
Students should be allowed to sell food during lunch I have seen some kids buying and selling tortas and they look good to me and a lot of kids buy his tortas even my friends buy them and they say they are very good. On the other hand lots of students say that they should not be allowed to sell during lunch because it disrupts them and other people but most students say that they should be allowed to sell only during lunch and before and after school. But the 30 minutes rule is the one used at school argue some students and the rule should be enforced say some students. Student John said” I think they should be able to sell there food because some teams and clubs tell them to fundraise food or tee shirts they should because the spirit packs or the uniforms or the trips can be very expensive some times and they can’t afford to buy them so they fundraise to make the money to buy it to participate in sports”. Some staff say that students should be allowed to sell there food to other kids who go here.
Student Jesse says “Yeah they should be able to not a lot of families have a lot of income going to them and some don’t have any at all and that’s there way to help there family and get some money to help pay the bills he” says. Why does Jesse say that “because he knows and has seen this happening around him and kids have experienced that. So there you have it students say that they should be allowed to sell there food and other items at school some staff members support this idea and even some parents do too so students should be allowed to sell there food and other items at school for school and income purposes.
